The DIViNE Doctoral Network (Democratic Institutions and Violence Network in Europe) unites leading European universities — Amsterdam, Essex, Milan, Madrid, and Uppsala — and partner institutions, including the Max Planck Institute for Political and Social Science —  to train a new generation of researchers capable of analysing political violence in democratic contexts. more

The Elections, Violence, and Parties (EVaP) project examines the conditions under which party organizations themselves perpetrate violence, or when they jointly produce violence with other non-state actors such as ethnic leaders, religious organizations, gangs, or militias.  more

The Electoral Contention and Violence (ECAV) dataset is a event-based, georeferenced dataset which allows for both aggregated and disaggregated analyses of violent and nonviolent electoral contention and is available for a global sample.  more
