Marica Miglio
Marica is a postdoctoral researcher in the Teachers, Inequality and Collective Action (TICA) research group. She conducted her doctoral studies in Social and Political Sciences at the European University Institute, where she studied how socioeconomic inequalities are perpetuated and can be reduced within meritocratic societies. Marica is mostly interested in inequalities in education and the labour market, attitudes toward inequalities, social stratification, and intergroup relations. She often finds value in partnering with NGOs, schools, or museums to evaluate the effectiveness of their activities on prejudice, discrimination, and intergroup relations. Methodologically, she is interested in mixed-methods research and has often combined randomized controlled trials and experimental research with cross-national observations and qualitative insights.
