IT Department
The IT Department is responsible for the institute's entire IT infrastructure and serves as the central point of contact for all IT-related matters. We work closely with the research groups and departments to provide tailored solutions for everyday research work.
The IT Department's responsibilities include, among others, the following areas:
- Operation and further development of the institute's network
- Planning and operation of the server rooms as well as institute and departmental servers
- Management of user accounts, groups, and permissions
- Support for hardware and software on Windows and macOS
- Support for IT projects and digitalization initiatives within the research groups
- Information security, endpoint protection, and network access control
- Helpdesk and user support
We provide an IT environment that facilitates everyday research, supports collaboration across research groups and locations, and accompanies the institute on its path of digital development. Our aim is for IT to simply work for you, so that you can focus on your research.
